- What is Comment?
- ---------------
- Comment is a utility to 'Auto Comment' Code and documents. This
- program is a MUST for anyone who writes software or documents using
- the Windows environment. Now you can place your commonly used header
- files and Copyright notices into your Code/Documents with a couple
- of clicks.
-
-
- Description
- -----------
- Having spent many years programming, I have always found it a pain
- to place elaborate headers and copyright notices in my code and
- scripts. Comment now makes this easy.
-
- Installation is a snap, if you have Microsoft office, you can
- place "Comment" on the tool bar by right clicking over it and selecting
- customize. With Powerbuilder you can customize the tool bar to include
- "Comment". If your editor or word processor allows you to add
- programs to the toolbar, place "comment" on it. Basically place
- comment anywhere you can get to it easily.
-
- On the command line, enter the following:
-
- Comment.exe <filename> or <filenames>
- where filename is your text file of information you wish to paste.
-
- Remember to place the full path to your file. "Comment" supports
- extended file path names as used on Windows NT, but the actual
- file name must follow DOS conventions, i.e. 8 chars . 3 chars max.
-
-
- If you specify only one file on the command line, "Comment" will
- paste the contents of the text file to the clipboard. All you need
- then do is click on the Paste function within you editor or Word
- Processor.
-
- If you specify multiple file names on the command line, "Comment"
- will prompt you to choose one to post.
